As the problem is getting more and more serious, Polish decision-makers look to counteract the phenomenon. On Thursday Poland’s Environment Ministry officials took a look back on their smog–combating efforts in 2017.
“We are implementing ahead of time what will be binding all across the EU in two years. [Coal stove] legislation is being introduced [in Poland] 24 months ahead of similar EU regulations,” deputy environment minister Paweł Sałek said.
