  • Old synagogue will come to life in Warsaw's new museum. Michał Kubicki reports.
Exhibition reconstructing an old synagogue is being installed in The Museum of the History of Polish Jews, scheduled to open in October.

A replica of an ornate wooden synagogue that stood for 300 years in the town of Gwoździec, now in Ukraine, will be one of the focal points of the exhibition at the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, currently being built in Warsaw.

The Museum is to present all aspects of the rich civilization which the Jews created on Polish lands over the course of almost one thousand years. Its opening, scheduled for 20 October 2013, is expected to be attended by Jewish delegations and high-ranking politicians from around the world.

Michał Kubicki reports on the exhibition, with comments from Rick and Laura Brown of the US-based Handshouse Studio, and Robert Supeł of the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw.
