Polish Righteous among the Nations honoured. Hagay Hacohen reports.
This Tuesday fourteen Polish families were honoured with the title of Righteous among the Nations in a ceremony held at the Polish Senate.
The term is used to describe non-Jewish people who selflessly risked their lives to aid persecuted Jewish people under the Third Reich. The recognition is given by the World Center for Holocaust Research - Yad Vashem - in Jerusalem after an historical inquiry is conducted into the situation in which the activity had taken place. Hagay Hacohen reports.
