The National Labour Inspectorate (PIP) received 106 complaints of bosses being negligent in providing cold beverages.
Meanwhile, 44 complaints were about workplaces being too hot.
Under Polish law, employers are obliged to provide free cold drinks when the temperature in enclosed workplaces exceeds 28 degrees Celsius.
The number of discontented employees looked likely to shoot up as workers sweated and grumbled amid sweltering temperatures this week.
The mercury hit 37 degrees Celsius in some parts of Poland on Wednesday as a heatwave peaked.
