Polish tall ship back home after Independence Cruise

A Polish tall ship promoting the country as it celebrates a century of independence has returned home after an around-the-world cruise.

The Dar Młodzieży ship on Thursday sailed into the Polish Baltic city of Gdynia, from where it set out on its Independence Cruise 10 months ago.
An official welcoming ceremony was scheduled for later in the day.
The Dar Młodzieży left Gdynia in May last year, with plans to call in at more than 20 ports worldwide during its 10-month voyage.
The crew of the Dar Młodzieży in November marked Polish Independence Day in the Japanese port of Osaka.
The ship in January stopped in Panama for the Roman Catholic Church's World Youth Day event.
A group of young sailors from the ship met Pope Francis during the international religious gathering.
Poland last year marked the centennial of regaining its independence after more than 120 years of foreign rule.
