In March, more than 445,000 confirmed or suspected cases of influenza were reported across the country.
Experts say that flu jabs are an effective way of avoiding influenza, but only some 3 percent of Poles decide to have vaccinations every year, according to public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.
Doctors warn that flu can cause a range of serious complications.
