Police say they have identified eight suspects after a Polish state television host was accosted by an angry crowd critical of her work.

Magdalena Ogórek, a popular television personality and a former presidential candidate, was surrounded and insulted by protesters as she was leaving work in Warsaw on Saturday evening.
Police stepped in after demonstrators attempted to stop Ogórek from pulling away in her car, Polish media reported.
Investigators were gathering evidence and summoning witnesses after the incident in front of the Warsaw studios of public television broadcaster TVP Info.
Warsaw police have said in a statement “there will be no acceptance of behaviour that evidently violates the principles of peaceful protest.”
Police also said that officers dragged away individuals “who lay down and sat on the roadway in an attempt to prevent Magdalena Ogórek from driving off."
The Rzeczpospolita newspaper commented that “the attack on Ogórek” is “proof that little has changed in Polish politics after the murder of [Gdańsk Mayor] Paweł Adamowicz” last month.
“The spiral of hatred goes on,” the paper warned.
Poland’s prime minister in January called for mutual respect and an end to bitter political divisions in the country in the wake of the fatal stabbing of the popular mayor.
