If parliamentary elections were held this month, Poland’s ruling conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party would win 41 percent of the vote, according to a new poll.

Pollster CBOS said support for the party, which swept to power in 2015, inched down by 1 percentage point from a similar survey a month ago.
The Civic Platform (PO), the country’s largest opposition party, trailed far behind with 24 percent, up by 3 points from the previous survey.
The Polish People’s Party (PSL) was third with 7 percent, and the Kukiz ’15 group polled fourth with 5 percent.
No other parties would exceed the 5-percent threshold required for entering parliament, the survey found.
It was conducted from November 29 to December 9 on a representative group of 1,016 adult Poles.
