Polish deputy PM unhurt in car collision: report

The car, which was moving as part of a convoy of government vehicles, failed to brake on time and hit a Peugeot driven by a 77-year-old man, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.

It cited a police spokeswoman, Aleksandra Nowara, as saying that the incident occurred in front of a pedestrian crossing in the town of Imielin in Poland’s southern Silesia region in the early afternoon on Thursday.

Szydło, a former prime minister, tweeted after the incident: "Thanks for your concern. All's well. There was a minor fender-bender. No one was hurt, just broken lights and bumpers. Watch out on the roads, with the rain and slippery conditions.”

Szydło was injured in a car crash early last year when she was prime minister.
