Most of the emergencies were in the country’s southern and central as well as eastern regions, Paweł Frątczak, a spokesman for the State Fire Service, said on Saturday morning.
Some 4,500 customers were left without electricity at one point after fierce winds toppled trees and disrupted power supplies in various parts of the country, Frątczak said.
Firefighters were kept busy removing fallen trees and pumping water out of flooded basements, he added.
Strong winds have damaged the roofs of dozens of buildings, according to Frątczak.
No injuries were reported.
