Firefighters have been called out more than 700 times to tackle blazes since the weekend.
They were called out a further 1,200 times during the same period to clear damage after storms wreaked havoc across Poland.
Temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius and storms are expected to continue in the days ahead.
People have been urged to drink plenty of water, wear hats outdoors and stay out of the sun where possible, and to avoid smoking or lighting campfires or barbecues in forests.
