One dead, one injured in glider accident in northern Poland

A 17-year-old has died after a glider he was piloting fell from an altitude of 150 metres and crashed in a forest near the town of Słupsk, northern Poland.

A 70-year-old flying instructor suffered severe injuries in the accident, but his condition has been described as stable, according to a spokesperson for the Province Hospital in Słupsk.
The head of the Słupsk Aero Club, Janusz Drob, has told a local radio station that it was a routine training flight.
The State Commission for Aircraft Accidents has launched an investigation into the causes of the tragedy.
