One dead, several injured after pile-up on Polish expressway

At least one person was reported dead and several others injured after a pile-up accident on an expressway in northern Poland on Thursday.

Seven vehicles, including a truck, collided in a pile-up on the S7 expressway, which connects the capital Warsaw with the northern city of Gdańsk, Polish Radio reported.
The road was blocked in both directions near the village of Waplewo on Thursday morning, the public broadcaster said.
Some of the injured were airlifted by helicopter to a hospital, according to reports.
