A record number of dads could this year take advantage of paternity leave entitlement in Poland, the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily has reported.

Nearly 18,000 dads used part or all of their 14 days of leave allowed for care of newborns in March, up from 14,000 in the same month last year, the daily said.
If the March figures are a guide, as many as 180,000 men could take their leave entitlement this year, Puls Biznesu said.
But that is still fewer than half of all new dads, the paper added. (vb/pk)
