According to the paper, 28,345 crimes were committed by people in Poland under the age of 18 last year, 371 more than the year before.
Nearly 100 fights and batterings occurred on school grounds by the end of April this year, while there were 250 such incidents throughout 2016, the paper said.
The number of youths involved in physical attacks, burglaries, drug deals, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol offences, and even murders rose in 2016 compared to 2015, according to Rzeczpospolita.
The paper added that one in five Polish kids are victims of psychological and physical bullying.
Brunon Hołyst, a criminologist from Lazarski University, is quoted by Rzeczpospolita as saying: “Unfortunately ... we have seen an increase in such behaviour among young people.”
