Company chairman Jacek Leonkiewicz told reporters: “We were able to revert the trend [of decreasing passengers] which has been present for the past few years.”
High-speed Pendolino trains have carried 3,600,000 passengers in Poland in the first year after they were introduced, achieving a 96 percent punctuality rate, Leonkiewicz said.
He added that the company made a PLN 1.53 billion (EUR 340 million) profit in the first 11 months of 2015, a year-on-year increase of 22 percent. (ua/pk)
