Turkish plane makes emergency landing in Warsaw

A plane flying from Istanbul to San Francisco made an emergency landing at the Chopin Airport in Warsaw on Thursday afternoon.

The airport confirmed the information, adding that no other flights had been affected by the landing.
“A Turkish Airlines plane was approaching us, and asked for clearance for an emergency landing,” Przemysław Przybylski, a spokesperson for the airport, said.
"The plane landed before 3pm after its captain announced the need for an emergency landing,” Mikołaj Karpiński, the spokesperson for the Polish Aircraft Agency (PAŻP), said. (jh/rk)
