Warsaw and Kraków tied in university ranking

The University of Warsaw and the Jagiellonian University of Kraków were placed first equal among state universities in the latest edition of an annual ranking of Polish seats of higher education.

The ranking, which is carried out by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation, awarded 100 percent to both universities.
Third place was taken by the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, which garnered 86.6 percent.
Last year, the University of Warsaw topped the ranking, coming just ahead of its older Kraków rival and Poznań's university in third.
Meanwhile, as far as private colleges are concerned, Warsaw's Kozmiński University was placed first. Second place was taken by The University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw, and third by the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, also in the capital.
Of Poland's medical colleges, this year's winner was the Jagiellonian University Medical College, followed by the Medical University of Warsaw and the Medical University of Gdańsk.
