In an emergency, count on a Pole. European emergency number day report by Slawek Szefs.
11th of February marks the European day of the international emergency number - 112.
Only one in four residents of the European Union are familiar with the international number - 112 - one can call from any mobile to acquire assistance in case of emergency.
Research has indicated that Poles have the greatest 112 awareness among EU societies - 60 percent is familiar with the number. Slawek Szefs looks at the educational campaign and usage of emergency numbers in Poland and Europe.
