Our UK and US listeners might remember Jamie Oliver's attempt at repairing the traditional cuisine of school canteens, now a part of his "Food revolution". A few years later, and considerably deeper into the European continent, Grzegorz Lapanowski from Poznan tries to install healthy habits in pre-schoolers.
Children are known to prefer fizzy drinks and fries over carrots and coriander soup - but why is that? Is it the fault of lazy parents, lack of time, aggressive TV commercials? Experts predict that in years to come the obesity epidemic will arrive in Poland. The main goal of the “Healthy Pre-schooler” campaign, which has just got underway in the western city of Poznan, is to change bad habits before they take their tool on nation's health. Our correspondent Kalina Olejniczak has this report.
