For most Libyan families, the long months of civil rebelion with its armed struggle against the forces loyal to Colonel Gaddafi meant fear and often loss of near ones.
The National Transitional Council had announced an end to all that and the start of an era of building new political relations and structures, hopefuly democratic in nature. Warsaw reacted quickly to these developments. The Foreign Ministry pledged a continuation of Polish assistance to the NTC and the people it represents.
