Polish gas pipeline operator Gaz-System has just completed another section of the strategic North-South Corridor.

The 14-kilometre stretch of the new gas pipeline runs between the towns of Czeszów and Wierzchowice in the country's Lower Silesia region.
But Sławek Szefs reports that its importance extends far beyond that of a local undertaking, as might be perceived at first glance.
"Poland has been consistently pursuing the construction of the North-South Corridor, which is to be a pipeline system connecting the Baltic and Adriatic Seas allowing the Visegrad Group countries and Croatia to trade gas among themselves or sell it, creating a joint market,” Piotr Maciążek from energetyka24.pl told Polish Radio.
