Marek Kłoczko said Polish firms are looking to drum up business not only in the European Union, but also in Asia, and more recently in Africa.

"That’s why we organize business missions there and support entrepreneurs," he added.

Kłoczko said that Poland has a lot of export hits. "In principle, there is no sector that does not sell its goods and services to other countries.”

According to Poland’s Central Statistical Office, exports last year rose 6 percent while imports were 4.9 percent up compared with 2015.

Poland sold goods worth nearly PLN 800 billion abroad, and imported goods worth almost PLN 780 billion.

The difference was PLN 20.66 billion, up from PLN 9.86 billion in 2015.
