HIGH NOTE :: Olympia of Gdańsk

The second of a planned trilogy of works dedicated to Gdańsk (the first was Elżbieta Sikora's Madame Curie), this one - based on the life of Stanisława Przybyszewska, author of Danton's Case, fascinated with Robespierre and in the opera writing on Olympe de Gouges - premiered just days after the terrorist attacks in Paris, and brought with it questions on more than just music and history. Composer Zygmunt Krauze and director Jerzy Lach are talking to Elżbieta Krajewska.
