Poland's official candidate for the 88th Academy Awards has been revealed, with the honour going to veteran director Jerzy Skolimowski for his movie '11 Minutes'.

Skolimowski's new film is a nerve-shredding work that weaves together scenes from the lives of a series of disparate characters.
Set in contemporary Warsaw, the film had its Polish premiere on Friday at the 40th Gdynia Film Festival, where Radio Poland correspondent Nick Hodge caught up with the director. The film received the festival's Special Jury Award on Saturday evening.
