The stuff of wedding and dance parties, this music is bound to get all and sundry on the floor, whatever age or political conviction... Officially born in the nineties in Poland, when - as some will say - everything was yet possible, "disco polo" tends to be derived from Italo-disco and a type of popular folk. It's the music that has served film director Maciek Bochniak as a madcap background to a delicious picture about - as he tells Elżbieta Krajewska - the American dream, Polish version.
