As a gradually growing number of Poles are turning herbivore, we take a look at one of the driving forces behind the vegan movement in the country.
Marta Dymek, the author of a vegan blog named the Best Culinary Blog of the Year in 2013, has recently released a cookbook offering recipes to plant-eaters and omnivores alike.
“Veganism is not only a brand new trend for hipsters and youngsters from Warsaw,” Marta argues. “The important thing is that to cook vegan at your home you don’t need tofu, tempeh or any other fancy ingredients. You can just go to a regular market and get some lentils, beans, fresh veggies and cook an amazing plant-based dinner.”
