The Polish government has allocated nearly 2 million euro to the promotion of amber, with ads being placed in the US, Italy, Germany and Asia.

Poland has traditionally been one of the biggest producers and exporters of amber jewellery in the world, with a 70 percent market share: so why the need for a promotion campaign?
Reporter Danuta Isler spoke to Boguslaw Zalewski from the International Gdansk Fair, which leads the consortium "Amber - Treasure of Poland".
