Poland to host European snooker championships

Europe's sharpest snooker players are set to descend to the western city of Zielona Gora.

Europe is one of the largest snooker playing regions in the world, according to the official European Billiards & Snooker Association. This is not the first time the event will be held in Poland and, according to the Polish Tourist Organisation, snooker is growing more popular among Poles.
Additionally, the championship creates an opportunity for further promotion to potential foreign visitors.
The western city of Zielona Gora will host the Individual European Snooker Championships from 27th of May to 6th of June.
