For the first time this year, the funds raised by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will go towards funding treatment for sick children, as well as modern equipment for hospitals for the elderly.
Organisers are hoping to surpass the 4.5 million zloty (1 million euro) raised last year from internet auctions alone.
