Wimbledon: Poland’s Linette makes 3rd round

Poland’s Magda Linette has moved into the third round of the Wimbledon tennis championships in London.

The 27-year-old Pole on Thursday beat US player Amanda Anisimova 6-4, 7-5 in their second-round women's singles match at the grass-court Grand Slam tournament in the British capital.
Up next for Linette at the All England Club was two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic.
Meanwhile, Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz was on Friday set to take on world No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the third round of the men’s singles at Wimbledon.
