Polish disabled athletes return with haul of medals from Berlin

Polish disabled track-and-field athletes have returned with a haul of medals from the Para Athletics European Championships in Berlin.

With a total of 61 medals, including 26 gold, Poland finished top of the overall nation standings at the event in Germany, which ended on Sunday.

Britain was second with 50 medals, one more than third-placed Ukraine, Poland's PAP news agency has reported.

A total of 600 athletes from 40 countries competed in the Para Athletics European Championships in the German capital throughout last week.
