Cycling: Poland’s Kwiatkowski wins Tour de Pologne

Polish rider Michał Kwiatkowski won this year's Tour de Pologne, Poland’s largest cycling race, as he kept the overall lead after the event’s final stage on Friday.

The Pole, who rides for Team Sky, beat Simon Yates of Britain by 15 seconds overall in the seven-stage race. France’s Thibaut Pinot placed third in the final standings, 20 seconds behind Kwiatkowski.
Yates won the last, 136 km, leg of the race, which ended in Bukowina Tatrzańska, southern Poland, on Friday.
Kwiatkowski, a former world champion, won stages four and five of this year's Tour de Pologne, which was held for the 75th time.
The Polish rider in March won the weeklong Tirreno-Adriatico race in Italy.
