Twenty-nine-year-old Radwańska had been sidelined since she injured her back in the opening round of the Istanbul Cup in April, which also saw her back out from French Open, the first grand slam tournament she missed in a decade.
In the match in Eastbourne, UK, that lasted a little over an hour, Radwańska, who is ranked 31, aced seven times.
Twenty-five-year-old Babos, who is ranked six places below the Polish former world number 2, aced six times but made five double faults.
"I think everything was working for me today," Radwanska said, according to the Women’s Tennis Association
"I think I also surprised myself, especially with the serves. I really felt good with everything. I didn't struggle with anything on court today,” she added, WTA reported. (vb)
