The former footballer, widely recognised as one of the sport’s all-time greats, has signed a three-year contract to become chairman of the top-division Belarusian side Dynamo Brest, Poland's wpolityce.pl news website reported on Wednesday.
The job begins after the summer’s World Cup in Russia, wpolityce.pl said.
Maradona, who led Argentina to win the 1986 World Cup, previously worked in the United Arab Emirates as coach of second-division club Al-Fujairah.
The Belarusian club has shared the news on its official Twitter account.
