Four medals for Polish wrestlers in Russia

Poland scooped four medals, two silver and two bronze, at the European wrestling championships, which ended in Kaspiysk, Russia, on Sunday.

Poland’s Magomedmurad Gadzhiev won silver in the men’s 70 kg freestyle, while Roksana Zasina took silver in the women’s 55 kg freestyle.

Countrywoman Katarzyna Krawczyk claimed bronze in the women's 53 kg freestyle, while Robert Baran snapped up another bronze for Poland in the men's 125 kg freestyle on Sunday.

Russia topped the event's overall medal table, with 12 golds, seven silvers and four bronzes.

The 2018 European Wrestling Championships were held in the southwestern Russian city from April 30 to May 6.
