Another gold for Poland in weightlifting

Poland’s Aleksandra Mierzejewska on Sunday won gold in the +90 kg category at the European Weightlifting Championships, her country’s seventh medal at the tournament in Bucharest, Romania.

Mierzejewska lifted a combined 237 kg. Second place went to Hungary’s Krisztina Magat with 236 kg, and third to Romania’s Andreea Aanei with 222 kg.
Earlier on Sunday, Poland’s Arkadiusz Michalski won the gold in the 105 kg category.
Poles have won five others medals in Bucharest.
Kacper Kłos came second in the men's 85 kg category, and Łukasz Grela third in the 94 kg category.
In the women’s events, Joanna Łochowska won gold and defended her title in the 53 kg category. Patrycja Piechowiak took the bronze in the 69 kg and Kinga Kaczmarczyk the bronze in the 90 kg category.
