Ski jumping: Stoch fifth in Willingen

Polish ski jumping star Kamil Stoch finished fifth at the World Cup in Willingen, Germany, on Sunday.

This was Stoch’s worst result in 2017, which has otherwise been very good for him, but he retains the lead in the general classification.
The winner was Germany's Andreas Wellinger, followed by Austria’s Stefan Kraft and Manuel Fettner.
"Willingen was ... interesting. In these competitions, the work is the most important, not the result, because it sometimes does not reflect the work," Stoch told Polish public boadcaster TVP after the competition.
On Saturday, the Polish ski jumping team, including Stoch, won the team World Cup competition, the second such win for Poland in history. (mol/pk)
