Poland wins bronze in Speed Skating World Cup team race

The Polish men's speed skating team won bronze on Saturday in the team pursuit event at the World Cup Speed Skating Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan.

With a time of 3:45.04, Poles Zbigniew Bródka, Konrad Niedźwiedzki and Jan Szymański finished behind Japan (3:44.10) and Canada (3:44.95).
Poland's women's squad came fourth in their team event.
Also fourth was Artur Waś in the men's 500 metre race. He missed out on a medal by just one hundredth of a second. (vb/pk)
