Poland's Radwańska beats Muguruza in WTA Finals match

Polish tennis star Agnieszka Radwańska kept her chances of defending her WTA Finals title alive after beating Spain’s Garbiñe Muguruza 7:6, 6:3 in a group match in Singapore on Wednesday.

An intense first set ended in a 7:1 tie break in Radwańska’s favour.
The Pole dominated in the second set, taking the last three games in a row.
Radwańska is the favourite in her next match against Czech Karolina Pliskova on Friday, which will secure the winner a spot in the semi-finals.
Radwańska, who is the no. 2 seed, has entered eight WTA Finals tournaments since 2008 and won the championship in 2015. (vb/pk)
