Sevilla hotshot Grzegorz Krychowiak has said his Spanish side is eager to 'make history', as the club edged closer to its third Europa League title on Thursday with a 2-2 draw against Shakhtar Donetsk in the first leg of the semis.

By securing an away draw in Lviv, western Ukraine, the Spanish side has emerged as the strong favourite to win the second leg on home turf next Thursday.

For sure we could have have played better in this match, but two away goals is a good tally before the second leg,” Krychowiak said.

No side has ever won the Europa League title three times in a row, but the Spanish team may well have the opportunity to realise the feat.

We want to make history,” Krychowiak enthused.

The Pole joined the Andalucian side in 2014, and his prowess on the pitch soon saw him included in a Sky Sports La Liga 'dream team', rubbing shoulders with Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. (nh)
