“I would like to wish you all further successes, as every one of your successes is a success for Poland,” the president said.
Weight-lifter Adrian Zielinski, who scooped a gold last summer, was decorated with the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. Sylwia Bogacka, who took silver in the 10 m air rifle final, received the Gold Cross of Merit, and bronze medallist Bartlomiej Bonk (weight-lifter) was awarded with the Silver Cross of Merit.
Meanwhile, ski-jumper Kamil Stoch received a Polish flag from Komorowski on behalf of candidates for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
Three other medallists who were not able to attend today's ceremony are also due to receive honours (canoers Beata Mikolajczyk and Karolina Naja, as well as wrestler Damian Janikowski).
