According to Deputy Labour Minister Stanisław Szwed, the Cabinet also wants to raise the hourly minimum rate from PLN 13.7 in 2018 to PLN 14.5 in 2019.
The minimum gross monthly wage in 2018 is PLN 2,100, about half the average monthly wage.
The proposed minimum wages for next year are to undergo social consultations, Szwed said. (vb)
