Three executives at national rail carrier PKP were dismissed following the IT malfunction for the long-awaited sale of Pendolino tickets.

PKP has admitted that Sunday’s IT fiasco will cost the company dearly, although it has not admitted the exact estimates. Transport industry expertsare unanimous: the blunder will result in damage not only to the company's finances but also its image.
