"All the individuals and families who have been impacted will, of course, be provided with assistance," she said as she attended a crisis management team meeting in the western city of Zielona Góra.
Poland’s western Lubuskie province, of which Zielona Góra is the largest city, has been the most affected by the gales, according to Szydło.
The rules for granting government aid have changed since a wave of severe storms wreaked havoc in Poland in August, Szydło noted.
"We will now be offering such aid to all those who have been affected. No one will be left on their own," she said.
Two people were killed and 39 others were injured, including eight firefighters, after strong winds battered Poland overnight from Thursday to Friday, toppling trees, ripping roofs off buildings and disrupting rail services. (gs)
