Sixty-eight percent of businesses surveyed in Poland said labour costs were a big or very big obstacle, according to a report by audit and advisory firm Grant Thornton cited by Polish state news agency PAP.
The report added that only in South Korea were such costs a bigger problem.
Among other key barriers to business were bureaucracy and energy costs, PAP reported.
The average gross Polish monthly wage in April was PLN 5,186.12 (EUR 1,205, USD 1,344), the country’s Central Statistical Office reported this month.
