Polish industrial production up 6.9% y/y in February: stats office

Industrial production in Poland grew 6.9 percent in February compared with the same month a year earlier, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Wednesday.

The reading was higher than forecast by analysts, who had expected an increase of 4.5 percent, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.
In month-on-month terms, industrial production in February was 1.5 percent lower than in January, the Central Statistical Office said.
In January, Polish industrial production grew 6.1 percent in year-on-year terms, the statistics office reported last month.
