State airline LOT to screen 100 top Polish films

Passengers flying with state-owned airline LOT will be shown 100 key Polish movies, documentaries and animated films made over the last 100 years.

The project is one of a host of initiatives marking the centenary of Poland regaining its independence.
The films will be screened aboard Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes over the next two years.
The programme will cost PLN 400,000 (EUR 93,000, USD 105,000),according to state news agency PAP.
The national air carrier has teamed up with the Polish Film Institute to carry out the scheme.
Poland regained its independence on November 11, 1918, after 123 years of foreign rule.
