Polish industrial production up 10.3% in July yoy: stats office

Industrial production in Poland grew 10.3 percent in July compared with the same month last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Monday.

Industrial production last month was 5.4 percent lower than in June, the statistical office reported.
Meanwhile, output in the construction-and-assembly sector shot up by 18.7 percent in July in year-on-year terms, the office said.
Builders in Poland completed 6.3 percent more homes in the first six months of this year than in the same period in 2017, according to the Central Statistical Office.
Polish President Andrzej Duda this month signed into law a bill aiming to speed up the construction of new homes amid a housing shortage.
