Work to build the EUR 150 million engine repair facility near the city of Rzeszów will begin in May, according to Tomasz Pisula, head of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
The facility will service and repair aircraft engines and will be operated by EME Aero, a joint venture between Lufthansa Technik and MTU Aero Engines.
The investors in March purchased land for the construction of the new facility in Jasionka near Rzeszów Airport and have started recruiting staff, Pisula said on Wednesday.
He added that the new facility would start operations in 2020 and create around 800 jobs for workers from various industries, including engineers.
